Huckberry x Bearings Southern Comfort Sale

Just as I’m sure more than a few of you out there subscribe to these, I have “memberships” with a number of flash sale sites.  These sites offer pretty awesome goods at a discounted price.  You know how it works: you have to be fast to catch the good stuff or you’re S.O.L.  Huckberry, a flash sale site for men, started a sale yesterday called the “Southern Comfort Edition” curated by Bearings, the Southern Lifestyle Guide (I am proud to say that is the first time any version of the word “curate” has appeared on this blog).  Anyways, the sale hosted on Huckberry this week has some amazing products available made by the folks you’ve read about on Bearings.  Included in the sale are sunglasses by Randolph Engineering at 10% off, slim-fit shirts from Ledbury at 30% off, as well as 20% off of Rappahannock River Oysters, shipped to you right from the Chesapeake Watershed.  Other brands featured in the sale are Nashville based brands Peter Nappi Boots and Emil Erwin handmade bags and belts, and all-natural face wash from Chief’s based in Atlanta.  Head over ASAP because the deals are really good…

Perfect stuff and perfect deals.

*Full Disclosure- I’ll get $10 credit for any purchase made after clicking the referral link above… just like any other flash sale site.

Bearings – Nashville Launch Gathering

This Saturday evening at 6:00 PM, Billy Reid in Nashville is kind enough to be hosting the Bearings – Nashville Launch party.  If you live in Nashville, or will be passing through, please stop by!  There will be food from The Local Taco, pie from KT & Ro’s Pie Company, and whiskey courtesy of Prichard’s.  Should be a very fun evening of being surrounded by good people and amazing clothes.  If you’re planning on stopping by, tweet a message at me when you get there so we can meet.

Hopefully you can make it… should be a perfect time!

Bearings – Nashville

If you’ll bear with me, I thought I’d take today’s post to do a little self-promotion.  Recently, the upstanding gents at BearingsGuide.com have brought me on board to be the editor of Bearings – Nashville.  For those of you who are unfamiliar with Bearings, I strongly encourage you to check it out.  The founders of the site, Rob and Jeremy, created Bearings to answer one question: “In a world overloaded with information, how does the modern man navigate to the products, causes and experiences worth his attention?”  Seems to be a pretty big task at first glance… but they’ve done a great job by giving guys “a heads-up on the things that shape your days—great restaurants, date spots, new music and literature, happenings around town, outdoor activities, attire and more.”  Their first focus has been their hometown of Atlanta, Ga… but now Bearings is expanding to other cities in the Southeast, as well.  That is where I come in with Nashville.  If Bearings looks interesting to you, then I also invite you to sign up for the bi-monthly email newsletter.  It only comes out every other Thursday, so you won’t have to worry about anything cluttering up the old inbox.  Even if one isn’t a resident of Nashville (or Atlanta), Bearings can still be a great resource for new products, interesting “how-to’s,” and just generally the art of living well.  The Nashville Edition goes live January 27th.  So check it out, sign up for the newsletter (be sure to click Nashville!), and enjoy…

I think what they’ve got going on at Bearings is quite perfect, and I hope you’ll think so too!
